MENTAL HEALTH

Mental Health Matters - Lettering Quote

Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and The Jed Foundation teamed up to provide resources to our collegiate Brothers to further the mission to protect the emotional health and prevent suicide in young adults by giving them the skills and support they need to thrive today and tomorrow.

Why focus on mental health?

Now, more than ever, mental health and well being is at the forefront of every college student's mind. The COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to rising rates of mental health challenges for many young people, such as depression and anxiety, substance misuse, and serious thoughts of suicide and suicide attempts. They are ready and willing to talk about it, learn about it, and do something about it. We partnered with The Jed Foundation because they are the leading voice in the mental health and suicide prevention space for teens and young adults, with a strong focus on college students.

RESOURCES

Phi Beta Sigma encourages our members to seek the support they need to maintain their mental health. Brothers should seek out on-campus and community resources.
