Effective January 1, 2024, MIP fees for alumni and collegiate candidates for membership increased. The new fees are posted below. Please refer to the latest version of the 2024 PBS-1 form (available in the Documents & Training section of the Member Portal, in a folder labeled Membership Forms).
Beginning January 1, 2024, all collegiate MIP candidates are required to pay three years worth of Fraternity dues (i.e. 2024, 2025, and 2026). Updated MIP fees are listed on the 2024 PBS-1 form (available in the Documents & Training section of the Member Portal, in a folder labeled Membership Forms). The fees include a 4% processing fee. For your convenience, the updated fee schedule is listed below. We ask all chapters to pay MIP fees through the Chapter Portal - this is the fastest and most secure method of payment. Please note that if you decide to pay using a certified check or money order, it may take an extra 2-3 weeks for the fees to arrive at IHQ and get processed by the Finance Department. Again, to avoid delays, please pay MIP fees through the Chapter Portal. Please contact Bro. Dominic Osafoh, Membership Field Services Representative, with questions: membershipfsr2@phibetasigma1914.org.
Below are the totals for members and chapters who were financial 2022 and earlier:
Below are the 2024 fees for members and chapters who were financial in 2023.
Below are the 2024 reclamation fees.
The Fraternity encourages all Brothers and Chapters to pay their 2024 dues. Please see the different categories of membership fees listed below. Please reach out to Bro. Dominic Osafoh Membership Field Services Representative, membershipfsr2@phibetasigma1914.org, for assistance.
IHQ implemented a new submission and approval process for event registration and additional insured requests through the Chapter Portal. Please download the instructions to submit an event registration form and/or an additional insured form.
Here are some helpful tips:
Please email questions to insurance@phibetasigma1914.org.
The transition from collegiate to alumni life is an exciting time and a necessary step in the development of many Sigma Men. Affiliation with an alumni chapter helps Brothers stay connected with the Fraternity and aids them in their personal and professional growth. To assist with this transition, paragraph 19 of our International Constitution and By-Laws states “Fraternity dues shall be assessed on the Collegiate level during the first full fiscal year immediately following graduation for Collegiate and Associate members who transfer into an Alumni chapter.”
All collegiate brothers who graduated in 2023 and transferred to an alumni chapter will be able to pay their 2024 dues at the collegiate rate. For more information please consult your Collegiate Chapter Advisor or your Alumni Chapter President.
Alumni Brothers are encouraged to sponsor collegiate dues for a recently graduated collegiate Brother. Sponsoring a recently graduated collegiate Brother is easy! Please email questions to Bro. Krodell Hinds-Clarke, Membership Field Services Representative, membershipfsr@phibetasigma1914.org.
Please remember that the transferring member must have satisfied all outstanding financial obligations to his collegiate chapter before his transfer to the alumni chapter can be executed.
THANK YOU FOR PAYING IT FORWARD!
IHQ began ordering 2024 membership cards on January 4, 2024. Cards typically arrive within two to three weeks from the date of order. They are being processed and the first run should arrive towards the end of January/beginning of February.
Brothers can check their card order status by reviewing the 2024 tab on the Membership Card Log in the Resources Library in the Blu Print Member Portal. The cards will be delivered through USPS. Please review this short video that explains IHQ's membership card ordering process. Please direct membership card questions to Bro. Dominic Osafoh, Membership Field Services Representative, membershipfsr2@phibetasigma1914.org.
Membership cards are shipped to Brothers marked fully financial in the Chapter Portal. Please read the membership card section in this eblast for more information.
Brothers can check their membership card order status by scanning the QR codes above - the first log shows the cards ordered; the second log shows the cards returned to IHQ. Click here to access the 2024 Membership Card Order Log. Click here to access the Returned Membership Card Log - 2024. The logs are also accessible in the Membership Cards folder in the Document Library of the Blu Print Member Portal. The logs are set up as Google spreadsheets. This resource helps Brothers understand how to use the filter feature of Google spreadsheets to effectively search for information.
Please direct questions about membership cards to Bro. Dominic Osafoh, Membership Field Services Representative, membershipfsr2@phibetasigma1914.org.
Google Career Certificates enable learners to gain knowledge, develop skills, and earn a credential in high-growth fields. These programs are delivered on Coursera, an online learning platform. Now, through partnership with the PBS Impact Foundation Inc, financial Phi Beta Sigma members can earn Google Career Certificates FREE. Each Google Career Certificate program provides instructional videos taught by Google experts, readings, assessments, hands-on activities, and more to help learners achieve proficiency in the subject matter. When learners complete all of the courses in the program, they earn a certificate to share with their professional network and unlock access to career support resources.
Phi Beta Sigma partnered with JP Morgan Chase to provide our Brothers financial literacy education. This short emodule is available in the Sigma Learning Center. Please log in to the Sigma LMS and complete the course today!
NOTE: This course is geared towards collegians but any Brother is welcome to take the course.
The Blu Print Account Assistance Form is intended to help Brothers unlock their accounts or create accounts for Brothers who do not have a Blu Print profile. If you need your password reset, please first use the "Forgot Password?" link on the Blu Print Member Portal login page.
Please note: IHQ will create Blu Print accounts for Brothers whose initiation records are available in our archives. Brothers without verifiable initiation records at IHQ can provide a membership certificate or membership card as proof of membership to create their Blu Print accounts. Brothers without any documented proof of membership may need to go through the reclamation process. Click here to learn more about the reclamation process.
IHQ is pleased to introduce the Blu Print Support Team! The Blu Print Support Team is a group of Brothers from all seven regions trained to provide basic Blu Print support to members in their respective regions. Check out this Blu Print Support Team - MemberResource Page for more information.
Please email questions about this initiative to Bro. Dr. Rafael Matos, Director of Membership & Training, membershiptraining@phibetaisgma1914.org.
Please click here to access their contact information.
We encourage all Brothers to take care of their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. To that end, we partnered with the Jed Foundation to compile a list of resources to support Brothers on their mental health journeys. To access the resources, scan the QR code, click on this link, or click on the Mental Health Resources link in the PBS App.
The Collegiate Advisors University (CAU) eCertification is accessible through the Sigma Learning Center to Brothers selected to serve as collegiate advisors. Only Brothers approved by their Regional Director to serve as collegiate advisors will get access to the CAU Certification eModules. IHQ does not approve collegiate advisors. If you are interested in serving as a collegiate advisor, please direct your questions to your Regional Director of Collegiate Affairs.
